Women on Wheels (WOW)

Community hall

This functional facility is available for hire at very reasonable rates, with a booking contract and bond, which covers management costs and maintenance of the hall.

The facilities are suitable for indoor sporting activities, community meetings, and family events, such as weddings, anniversaries and special birthdays.

The fees support community activities. Phone 07 533 4345 for bookings.

Community Notice Board

This is located on the front of the Community Hall and is available free of charge for community related notices. Phone 07 533 4345.

Fishing Club

The Pukehina Fishing Club's primary purpose is to foster fellowship among the fishing fraternity of the Pukehina Beach community.

This is a small, active and friendly club focused on family fishing activities and tournaments throughout the year. Members welcomed. Website:http://pukfishclub.co.nz

Surf Club

Pukehina Surf Lifesaving Club is a voluntary organisation, which is very active. The HQ is at the northern end of Pukehina Parade.

Lifeguards are on duty most of the summer and the club has effective rescue equipment. Emergency contact on 07 533 3934.

Tennis Courts

There are two courts in Midway Park available for use.

An annual key system is in place for the season from Labour Weekend to Easter. A key can be purchased from Pukehina Beach Store, 68 Pukehina Parade for $20.00, and held for the season, with a $15.00 refund when returned.

It would be advantageous to form a local tennis club.

Pukehina Potaes Friendship Club

(ex Red Hat Club)
For ladies over 50 to enjoy a lunch outing on the second Monday of every month.
Dress Code - Purple clothes and a Red Hat, or if you're under 50 please wear Purple clothes and a Pink Hat.
No Committees, No Minutes, Just a social outing.

Pukehina Ramblers

Walking Group for Men and Women.
Mondays at 8.30 am all year, though we do not always walk Public Holiday Mondays.
Meet - The Store, Pukehina Parade.
Aim - To walk 6 km or an hour.
Sometimes we make walks off the Beach so please phone.

Internal Arts of Health - Restoring and Maintaining Natural Health.

Indoor Bowling

The Pukehina Indoor Bowling club meet for a friendly game of bowls on Wednesday evenings in the Pukehina Community Hall at 7.20 pm, for a 7.30 start. Regular or casual players are very welcome.
Even bring along your casual visitors, (does not matter if they have never played before) a good opportunity to try yours and their hand at a new sport. No subscription required, just a nightly door charge of $4.00 per player.
The Wednesday nights bowls will most likely continue over the summer months if there is sufficient numbers interested.
