Volunteers needed please!

Pukehina Beach Ratepayers Association has a vehicle for use by volunteers who patrol the local areas frequently, during the day and night, looking out for suspicious behaviour. It has been very successful in crime prevention and is a real benefit to our community. The operational cost of the vehicle is funded by sponsorship.

This is seen by the police as a huge deterrent to the criminal element and the Association is proud to be actively supporting this organisation.

There is always a need for more volunteers to make our community more secure - please contact Rex on 07 533 4345 for more information and an understanding of the patrol activity.

It is a very effective but passive role assisting to secure a safer community.

Walkway/Cycleway update

WBoP District Council has advised that before Christmas the route will be pegged and a digger with a mulcher will clear the vegetation.

Septic Tank Cleaning

Note: When buying property it is “buyer beware” and part of the due diligence process to have the tank inspected and cleaned. It is recommended by WBoP District Council to have tanks cleaned /emptied every two years.
